IDENTIFYING A H+K WARRANTY JOB
EMAIL - The service agent will receive an email from e-Tech with the below information. This includes the installation date, if under warranty & the warranty holder. If stated as H+K International this document applies. EXAMPLE Email Subject: A McDonalds Service Request HK-AXXXX-XXXXXX has been allocated to you.

1.3
INVOICES
Invoice must be received within 30 days of the repair completion date Where required, parts must be returned within 30 days of repair completion date The following details must be supplied on the invoice and service report:
o Warranty claim number o Date work completed o Restaurant Site Number and Restaurant Name o Equipment Model & Serial Number o Accredited Technician Name o Itemised time spent on job including travel charges o Call out/service fee o Labour hours o Additional travel (over 80km)
o All consumables used o Parts used (at $0.00) o Detailed description of fault and work carried out, so the manufacturer understands what has occurred o Coffee equipment - must contain tamp/cup and cleaning counts o Shake/Sundae equipment – must contain the cone count o Equipment software issues – error codes, error logs and version of software. o List parts used at zero dollar value – you must list the part number and description o Photos and/or videos of faults and corresponding parts are to be taken and sent with the service agent’s invoice.

IMPORTANT NOTE •
Invoices received after 30 days of repair completion date will not be paid. • Faulty parts received after 30 days of repair completion date will be returned to the agent at their cost and invoiced to the service agent. • Invoices without sufficient detail of the repair and required information will be sent back to the agent for resubmission before the 30-day cut off. • When faulty parts are requested to be returned, the invoice will not be paid for that claim until the parts have been returned for the same claim. If no parts are returned within 30 days, the invoice will not be paid, and the warranty claim will be closed. For any warranty claims closed due to due parts and/or invoice not being received within 30 days of repair completion date will be communicated via email to the service agent.

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS
The following items are not covered under warranty. Each manufacturer may have a specific list of exclusions in addition to this list. o Tolls o Parking fines and parking fees o Training costs o Relocation costs (to offsite location or within store) o Installation costs o Issues arising from failure to follow proper installation instructions o Calibrations/Brixing o Sundries o Adjustments o Issues due to user error
o Wear & tear components (consumables) o Attendance by technician and no fault found o Improper storage and handling o Accommodation o Unauthorised return visit/s per claim o Improper or unauthorised repairs o Overtime, after hours & public holiday charges o Unapproved 2 nd technician
o 2 nd call out fee (per claim) charged on authorised return visit o Postage, freight/handling and warranty administration costs o Issues due to lack of maintenance or cleaning o Reprogramming o Misuse, alteration or abuse of equipment o Fault because of preventative maintenance not being completed o Preventative maintenance work (PM Kits) o Time spent seeking tech support o Parts returned incomplete, not assembled or damaged due to inadequate packing

e-TECH
All technicians must sign in when they arrive at the restaurant (including completing a risk assessment) and sign out when they leave.
If leaving to pick up a part the service request should be put on-hold in e-Tech When technicians encounter issues at the restaurant (no passwords etc.).
• Use the Covid19 login which is the store number. • Contact H+K customer service 1800 032 203 Cost breakdown should be completed for all service requests, by the service agent. NOTE: Upon attendance the model & serial number must be verified by the technician & match the warranty request – if there is a discrepancy the technician is to advise H+K Warranty via phone or email.

PARTS
Technicians must carry appropriate van stock to allow for “first time fix” (see warranty guidelines for recommended van stock) If part/s are required to complete the repair & the technician does not have them in their van H+K Warranty must be contacted the same day via email warrantyanz@hki.com The email must clearly be marked as stock required for warranty job and include the following: • Warranty number • Part number • Part description • Details on where parts are to be delivered • State if the customer can or cannot serve product Van stock used is replenished – H+K do not credit parts used on warranty claims. Faulty parts must be kept for 90 days, by the service agent from repair completion date as they may be requested by the manufacturer for testing Faulty parts that are required to be returned must be received within 30 days of the repair completion date with each part labelled clearly showing the part number and warranty claim number. • If a part provided under warranty was not used – please label as ‘not used’ with the part number and warranty claim number. If you require part numbers please refer to exploded diagrams and/or service manuals on Egnyte website https://hki.egnyte.com or search the equipment on anz.hkionline.com for part images and exploded diagrams. • Package items appropriately and safely for return so there is no risk of damage during the return freight – please refer to exclusions list. • Email warrantyanz@hki.com the following: o warranty claim number o part number/s o total weight o height, depth & width o total number of cartons to be returned. • The courier will contact you via phone to confirm the pickup. • A connote will be provided by the courier via email to print and place on the package. 1.7 COLLECTION OF FAULTY PART/S FOR RETURN H+K Warranty will send an automatic report weekly to the service agent via email. The service agent will be required to provide an update on all outstanding jobs that are incomplete or not yet finalised. If the warranty claim was signed out/completed on e-Tech over 30-days ago, it will be highlighted red. We will urgently require an update on the warranty claim/s that are overdue. If no updates are received by week end (report sent Monday, must have updated by Friday) the job will be rejected due to age and we will be unable to process a warranty claim with the manufacture. GENERAL
Labour should not exceed manufacturer guidelines – if the service agents think it will take longer, they should seek approval from the appropriate H+K Technical Service Manager and this additional time must be justified in the service agent repair details on the invoice. This gives the warranty claim the best chance for full approval. Each technician to attend training with H+K or manufacturer for any equipment they repair. It is critical service agents attend further training for new models, this can be face-to-face or online. Equipment should not be removed from site for repair unless authorised by H+K Technical Service Manager
1.10 MANUFACTURER LABOUR SCHEDULE
Refer to the labour schedule available in the warranty guidelines for manufacturers allowable repair times. If repair times exceed those stated in the warranty guidelines document, charges not covered by the manufacturer will be invoiced to the restaurant by H+K.
1.11 PARTS ONLY CLAIMS
The following information is required to submit a 90 day ‘ parts only ’ warranty claim: • Store name & store number • Machine type and model • Serial number of machine • Part number • Date purchased from H+K and invoice number • Date part installed • Date part failed • Detailed description of fault (what is faulty on or about the part) • Send photos and/or video to further supports the claim NOTE: claims without supporting information such as photos/videos will not be accepted.

If the technician had to clean a part to reinsert into the unit to make it operational or clear a blockage, please provide detail on what had to be cleaned off the part i.e.: dirt particles, syrup etc. and provide a photo to further support the claim
The technician would normally describe how the unit was operating when you left the site – technician can (if they wish) also provide video evidence of this.

Installation Information The equipment needs to be placed in a clean, dust free environment. Avoid direct exposure to magnetic interferences which will affect how the sensors operate (e.g. microwave, mobile phone or WIFI devices)

Recommended Weekly Maintenance The use of an air duster can assist in removing the dust deposited into the unit interior.
Using the dusters thin tube nozzle to blow air through the feeding tray slot to remove the dust inside. Make sure do not insert the duster nozzle into the device to avoid touching any of the detector’s components. Repeat several times for better results. Recommended Weekly Maintenance it is highly recommended to use AccBANKER cleaning cards (ACC3-DETCLEANINGK CLEANING CARD KIT DETCKEABINGK) to keep the magnetic heads and conveyor system free of dirtiness, debris and oils. This is a store task.

Limited terms apply to length of warranty period or operational hours up to 5000, whichever comes first.
What Will be Covered Labour – Approved as per recommended repair times Travel – 1 standard call out/service fee (80 kms) + fair and reasonable travel charges which must be approved by H+K Service Manager Installation information It to be installed inside or in a fully weatherproof (with ventilation and ambient temperatures not arising above 40c, preferably air conditioning cooling the room to lower the humidity). Failure to do this will automatically void warranty. Preventative Maintenance Requirements Technical PM’s must be completed by trained and approved service technicians to ensure warranty is valid for the warranty period. Failure to complete PM’s may void manufacturer warranty. Additional Information For all warranty claims, proof of Planned Maintenance and a completed Field Service Check List is required for all warranty claims. Failure to produce proof of PM, will void warranty. Warranty Exclusions Refer to “General Exclusions” at the beginning of this document • Failure to complete planned maintenance and provide proof when requested. • Improper Installation - Air Compressor install location does not allow 30 cm (12 in.) on all sides, outdoors and not in a weatherproof shelter. • Evidence found during warranty claim that shock absorbing shipping material has not been removed during installation. • Faults related to air leaks on the restaurant (e.g. beverage syrup pumps). • Damage due to shipping, misuse, mishandling, physical damage. • Repairs by non-authorized service personnel.

What Amana Will Cover Labour: USD$170 per claim
Installation Allow at least 7” (17.8 cm) of clearance around top of oven. Allow at least 2 9 /16” (6.5 cm) between air discharge on back of oven and back wall. Allow at least 7” (17.8 cm) around sides of oven. Proper air flow around oven cools electrical components. With restricted air flow, oven may not operate properly, and life of electrical parts is reduced.
Additional Information Second through Third Year (Third Year only for MCDHDC521)
H+K INTERNATIONAL will provide a replacement magnetron tube, tube only that has failed due to workmanship or materials. Owner will be responsible for paying all other costs including labour, mileage/travel and freight.
Warranty Limitations: Begins at date of original purchase. Applies to product used for NORMAL commercial food preparation. Service must be performed by an authorized H+K INTERNATIONAL servicer.
Warranty Exclusions Refer to “General Exclusions” at the beginning of this document Light bulbs, grease shield, air filters are considered consumables and not covered under warranty
Ceramic trays are not covered under warranty if there is evidence that damage was caused by impact, thermal shock, (frozen or refrigerated product placed on warm tray), oven operated with metal pans, oven operated without a food load or lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. Failures caused by accident, fire, flood or acts of nature.
Any modification, alteration, adjustment or repair service not authorized by H+K Grease or other material build-up due to improper cleaning or maintenance. Connection to an improper power supply. Operating an empty oven. Use of improper pans, containers, or accessories that cause damage to the product. Lost or broken air filters or grease shields. Broken ceramic shelves. General rebuilding or refurbishing.

The manufacturer requires equipment to be registered on their website by H+K upon return of the commissioning form.
Preventative Maintenance Requirements Technical PM’s must be completed by trained and approved service technicians to ensure warranty is valid for the warranty period. The machine is equipped with an automatic system which calls for washing of the parts in contact with the product every 14 days. This system disables the dispensing function at the end of the fourteenth day. Failure to complete PM’s may void manufacturer warranty. Warranty Exclusions Refer to “General Exclusions” at the beginning of this document External causes such as voltage fluctuations, flooding, excessive temperature, etc. Parts that are normally subject to wear are excluded from warranty coverage (i.e., O-rings, gaskets, drive shaft beater seals, pump gears, scraper blades, belts, etc). Installation For proper operation and maximum performance, locate the cabinet in an ambient air temperature of 70º F (21ºC). Avoid areas near exhaust fans where there is active air movement. For safe operation, locate the unit a reasonable distance from combustible walls and materials. To prevent injury and damage, locate the unit at a proper and safe working height. The location should be level, clean of debris, and strong enough to support the weight of a fully loaded unit. Warranty Exclusions Refer to “General Exclusions” at the beginning of this document Light bulbs are considered consumables and are not covered Do not spill or pour water into controls, control panel or wiring. Water damage is not covered by warranty.

Warranty Part Return Process & Photos As of 1/06/2024 Cornelius Australia will implement the following equipment warranty parts return process for beverage equipment. ➢ Parts with a value of less than $999.99 are not required to be returned. A clear photo of the ‘faulty’ part/s must be submitted with the warranty claim. ➢ Parts with a value greater than $1000.00 are required to be returned to H+K within 30 days of repair date for a warranty claim. ➢ Any claims for equipment refrigerant, C02 or air leaks, a photo or video of the leak location is required. ➢ Other instances where part/s are not required and/or replaced, and a photo/video must be supplied to assist with warranty validation. ➢ The service agent is required to hold the parts for 90 days of repair completion date as they may be requested to be returned for testing by the manufacturer. Warranty will be void if the faulty parts have been tampered with and not assembled. Photo/Video Evidence To assist in warranty validation, photographic/video evidence is required for faults such as: before (the fault, condition of equipment) and after service, refrigerant, air or CO2 leaks, items on equipment missing, damaged or other instances where part/s are not required and/or replaced, and a photo/video must be supplied to assist with warranty validation. A clear photo/video of the faulty part/s is required to be submitted with the warranty claim.
