EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION GUIDE
Ice Machine
General Contractor 1. All roof penetrations need to be sealed.
KES Installer 1. Notify the Beverage installer when they will be needed, based on site conditions upon arrival. 2. Uncrate and move ice bin into position and level. 3. Set and attach icemaker on bin.
4. Direct electrical contractor on wiring to the unit. 5. Direct plumbing contractor on installing drains.
6. Direct refrigeration contractor to rent the crane and set remote condenser on the roof 7. Direct refrigeration contractor to pull pre-charged refrigeration lines to remote condenser. 8. If ice machine is being connected to the Mac condenser and requires a head pressure control kit, locate and retain kit for installation by Ice FASA. 9. Direct ice machine Beverage installer to connect refrigeration lines (and head pressure control kit if appropriate for ice machine being connected to Mac condenser) to remote condenser. 10. Coordinate and arrange start-up if final connections are possible during installation. (If not possible, provide the FASA contact information to the owner operator.) Refrigeration Contractor 1. Pull pre-charged refrigeration lines to remote condenser and ice machine communication wiring per manufacture specifications. Do not connect the lines. Connection will be made by beverage installer.
Plumbing Contractor 1. Make drain connections to ice machine and ice storage bin.
Beverage Installer 1. Run water line from backroom water filtration system. 2. Make final water connection to ice machines
Electrical Contractor 1. Ensure proper electrical connections at ice head and remote condenser on roof. 2. Electrical contractor must run ice machine control wire per local code. 3. Electrician to make final connection of high and low voltage wiring.
Ice Machine FASC 1. Connect refrigeration line to ice machine (and head pressure control kit if appropriate for ice machine being connected to Mac condenser) and remote condenser and charge lines as necessary. 2. Confirm proper connection of water, drain and power to unit. 3. Start-up and calibrate ice maker. (Notify KES installer, owner operator, and ice machine manufacture of any installation issue, clearly define corrective action needed). 4. Set up training session with restaurant operations on proper care of equipment. 5. Notify ice machine manufacturer of completion of start-up.
Owner Operator 1. If possible during installation week, arrange for start-up of ice maker with FASC
